Terms of Service
These terms set the ground rules for browsing, saving, publishing, and subscribing on CheatSheet. By using the service, you agree to them.
Effective 20 August 2026
Using CheatSheet
CheatSheet is a service for discovering, saving, creating, and sharing practical guides, checklists, comparisons, and collections. You may use the service only if you can legally agree to these terms. If you use CheatSheet for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
Content on CheatSheet is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, safety, or other specialist advice. Check important information against current, qualified sources before relying on it.
Accounts
Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details confidential, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law says otherwise. Do not create an account for someone else without permission or transfer your account in a way that misleads other users.
Content and permissions
Your content
You keep the ownership rights you have in content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it, including for sources, images, files, names, and personal information included in the content.
You give CheatSheet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and otherwise use submitted content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and promote the service. This license lasts while the content is available through CheatSheet and for a reasonable period in backups, records, or materials already created, subject to applicable law.
Moderation
We may review, label, limit, unpublish, quarantine, or remove content, and may restrict accounts, when we reasonably believe this is needed to enforce these terms, protect users, respond to reports or legal requests, or operate the service. We do not promise to review every item before it appears.
CheatSheet materials
The service, software, design, branding, and materials supplied by CheatSheet are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms allow you to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of those materials or permit you to copy, resell, or exploit them outside the service except where law allows.
Acceptable use
Do not use CheatSheet to:
- break the law, violate another person’s rights, or encourage dangerous or fraudulent activity;
- publish content you do not have permission to use, impersonate others, or misrepresent authorship, sources, qualifications, or results;
- harass, threaten, exploit, or expose private or sensitive information about another person;
- upload malware, probe or bypass security, interfere with the service, or access accounts or data without authorization;
- artificially manipulate saves, follows, views, reviews, payments, rankings, or other service signals; or
- scrape, copy, or automate access at a scale that burdens the service or ignores technical restrictions.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans, prices, billing periods, taxes, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. When you start a recurring subscription, you authorize our payment provider to charge the payment method you supply according to those checkout terms until the subscription is cancelled. You can stop future renewals using the available subscription-management flow or by contacting support.
Access changes, cancellation timing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled according to the terms shown at purchase and applicable law. Except where the checkout terms or law say otherwise, charges already processed are not refundable. We may change future prices or plan features with notice required by applicable law; changes do not silently alter a charge that has already been completed.
Third-party services
CheatSheet may link to sources, creator sites, payment services, or other third-party tools. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or conduct.
Service changes and termination
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may limit access for maintenance, safety, legal, or operational reasons. We aim to run a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every item will remain available.
You may stop using CheatSheet at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when you materially or repeatedly violate these terms, create risk or harm, or when law requires it. Provisions that by their nature should continue—such as ownership, licenses, disclaimers, and limits of liability—survive termination.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, CheatSheet is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. Creator content reflects its author’s work and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
To the extent permitted by law, CheatSheet and the people involved in operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised terms here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continuing to use CheatSheet after updated terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires another form of consent.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
